Pine Valley Market takes Copper Kettle

Pine Valley Market and chefs Chris McCauley and Christi Ferretti won Copper Kettle Best in Show and Presentation Gold. They served an entrée of “Swing Season” Korean BBQ with corn purée, butternut squash and apple slaw, kimchi sauce, crispy garlic; and an appetizer of fried chicken BBQ with brussels sprout chow chow and Texas Pete aioli.

Jessica CaboEAST Oceanfront and Chef Jessica Cabo won the Roger K. Busteed People’s Choice Award. She served red curry pork tacos with summer banh mi vegetables.
William RobertsHilton Wilmington Riverside and Chef William Roberts won Entrée Gold. He served braised wild boar belly, cocoa grits and carrot puree.

He served marinated mojo roast pork with classic citrus flavors served on a creamy coconut rice with peach mango salsa; Nola shrimp and grits; tequila gold 80 proof margarita cupcakes and tropical fruit with pineapple cloud.
KDiLenaWilmington Convention Center and Chef Keith DiLena won Appetizer Gold. He served a corn butter scallop over grilled watermelon with candied bacon.
Leon Chisholm_squareCoastal Beverage Co. and Leon Chisholm won Beverage Gold. He served Wendy’s Blonde Ale and Dugan’s Chocolate Stout.
Brian HemmerVincent DraytonElijah’s and chefs Vincent Drayton & Brian Hemmer won Decoration Gold.
