Donate retirement funds

Here are 3 steps to making Methodist Home for Children the beneficiary of your IRA, 401K or other retirement plan.

1. Consider the fact that if you leave your plan to an individual, a considerable amount of the value will be lost to income taxes as the beneficiary withdraws the retirement funds. In larger estates, the retirement funds may also be subject to estate taxes. If you leave it to MHC, the FULL VALUE will be used to help young people and families in need of our services.

2. Ask your plan provider or human resources department for a “change of beneficiary” form or download the form from the provider’s website.

3. Fill out the form, naming Methodist Home for Children Foundation (EIN 56-2259577) as a full or partial beneficiary.

If you like, after you’ve put the “change of beneficiary” form in the mail, contact Peter MacBeth at 919-754-3620 or pmacbeth@mhfc.org, so we can record your intentions in our files.

THANK YOU for making a beneficiary designation that will provide life-changing programs for one or more of God’s children.
