Peter Williams joined Methodist Home for Children in November 2014. As retired president and former chief financial officer of Piedmont Service Group Inc., he brings valuable experience to the MHC leadership team as a business executive and certified public accountant. His responsibilities include accounting and finance systems, human resources, risk management and information technology services. Williams built his career at PSG, starting in 1991 as CFO and eventually leading the HVAC service, construction and facility services business to $35 million in annual revenues with locations in North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia. Before PSG, he worked for KPMG Peat Marwick in Raleigh and for venture capital investment companies. He’s also generously volunteered his time at the executive level for the YMCA of the Triangle and the North Hills Club, serving as a board member and as chair of finance, investment and annual giving committees.
A native of Chapel Hill, Williams grew up in Raleigh and attended middle and high school with classmates who lived on the former MHC campus. He earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration/accounting from UNC-Chapel Hill.
